DescriptionIf you are looking to create harmony between your body and your soul let us spoil you with our luxurious spa treatments. If you want to feel like a new person the place to stay is “La Casa de Elvia”.
La Casa de Elvia, a XVIII century building, is a warm and inviting Mexican home located in the heart of San Miguel de Allende, México. The courtyards and surrounding areas are painted in typical Mexican style and are filled with Bougambilleas and other aromatic plants of stunning color.
The outdoor patios and terraces have to be experienced to be believed. There is a gorgeous garden patio surrounded by Bougambilleas, several kinds of Jasmine and Honeysuckle. From there you will step down into a cozy sitting room complete with fireplace and a niche of La Virgen de Guadalupe.
There is a shrine which contains a crucifix that has been in the family for several generations. The roof of the shrine is a great example of an amazing and unique brick work technique.
As you come out of the shrine you will enter the second patio. Here you will find wrought iron tables and chairs which provide a lovely outdoor eating area.
On the third patio there is a spiral staircase with 24 steps leading up to the unique and beautiful roof top terraces and spa.
Like most Mexican Homes the outside will never reflect what lies behind the doors. La Casa de Elvia is no exception. Step inside and be amazed.
